Any update forthcoming on this issue? The limitation is in your motherboard rather than the drive – any fast drive would have exactly the same issue. I think it might be using msachi driver instead. You are a long way from home though. I await their response to that one!!

You won’t be able to go faster than that without a board that has sata 3 support built into the motherboard chipset such as an Intel 6 series board. I guess i feel a bit upset after spending so much money on a ssd only to find out I can’t run it at the speeds that were advertised.
I need some numbers on how much the updated firmware saya Marvel improves the performance, before deciding whether to buy the Intel SSD I have selected force and updated the firmware as suggested.
Today, I received from Western Digital, what I think is one of the best responses from a hardware manufacturer.
