If it doesnt work but linux sees it, it might now work with all distros then its likely the card is dead. I ran that and the hardware wireless mini card was found to be OK.
The fix worked, and Wirelesx was able to “connect” to my wireless network, however even after “connecting to it” entering wireless password and keyring password I was still unable to access the internet.
